Evan Fowler
Evan Fowler works as a Research Associate for the Tahrir Institue for Middle East Policy. He is recent graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he pursued a degree in International Relations, with a dual concentration in African Studies and Middle East Studies. In May 2013, he graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and his work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Yale Journal of International Affairs, The Bologna Center Journal of International Affairs and The Johns Hopkins University SAIS Perspectives magazine, among others. A young scholar in the field, he has presented his research at various conferences, including for McGill University, for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His research interests include Middle Eastern and African politics, post-colonialism in the Third World, the role of Islam in modern society, and post-conflict stabilization.
