Daniel Neep
Daniel Neep is Lecturer in International and Middle East Studies at the University of Exeter. He is currently on secondment to the Council for British Research in the Levant. He received his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), where he won the annual Leigh Douglas Memorial Award for the best UK thesis in Middle East Studies. His book based on this project, Occupying Syria under the French Mandate: Insurgency, Space and State Formation, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2012.
