Leila Piran

 

Leila Piran holds a PhD in World Politics, with a focus on the Middle East, from the Catholic University of America. She has taught courses in international affairs and political science at George Washington University. Prior to that, she served as a research fellow on Turkey at the Rethink Institute, and has taught at other leading universities. She is a political analyst on the Middle East and international affairs. She is the author of Institutional Change in Turkey: The Impact of EU Reforms on Human Rights and Policing (Palgrave Macmillian, 2013).
