Lisa Anderson and the Middle East Pedagogy Initiative (MESPI)
Lisa Anderson is special lecturer and dean emerita at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. A political scientist, she served as provost and then president at the American University in Cairo from 2008 to 2016, In addition to her work on the state in the Middle East, she has published on social science and policy-making, and on global higher education. She is currently working on a book about state formation, deformation and failure in the Arab world.
MESPI is a curated interactive platform for ME studies resources specifically tailored for the needs of teachers, researchers, and students.
