Feda Abdelhady joined the Palestine Mission to the United Nations in 1992 and has since 2013 served as Deputy Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, with the rank of Ambassador. At the United Nations, she represents Palestine at the Security Council and at the General Assembly and its Main Committees, including the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, with specific focus on the Palestine refugees and UNRWA, a file she has followed for over 20 years. She leads the diplomatic team responsible for drafting and negotiating Palestine’s annual package of General Assembly resolutions and has led negotiations for Palestine at the Security Council. She also represents Palestine at Arab Group, Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), G77, and Asia-Pacific Group meetings at the UN, and was a member of Palestine’s legal team to the International Court of Justice in 2004.

He was previously Senior Analyst Middle East and Special Advisor on Israel-Palestine with the International Crisis Group, and head of political affairs with the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria. He is Co-Editor of Jadaliyya Ezine.
