Sinem Adar and Anny Bakalian

 

Sinem Adar is a Provost`s Postdoctoral Scholar in Sociology at the University of South Florida. Her work has appeared in Political Power and Social Theory, Sociology of Education, New Perspectives on Turkey, Journal of European Social Policy, Al-Jazeera, and Muftah.

Anny Bakalian is Associate Director of the Middle East and Middle Eastern American Center (MEMEAC) and the Master’s Program in Middle Eastern Studies at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is the author of Backlash 9/11: Middle Eastern and Muslim Americans Respond (University of California Press, 2009) with Mehdi Bozorgmehr. Her many publications on the Armenian American experience include Armenian Americans: From Being to Feeling Armenian (Transaction Press, 1993, republished 2011). She serves on the board of directors of Alwan for the Arts.
